Neuro 215: Brain Imaging and Brain Stimulation

Course Directors: Marco Iacoboni, MD PhD, Shantanu Joshi, PhD, David Shattuck, PhD

Quarter: Spring 2021

Time: Tuesdays, 1pm-2:15pm (Online)

CCLE Website: https://ccle.ucla.edu/course/view/21S-NEURO215-11

Description:

Introduction to the fields of brain imaging and brain stimulation, various imaging modalities, and neurostimulation strategies. Introduction to the use of imaging in isolation or in combination with stimulation to understand neural circuitry, systems and networks in health and disease. Encourages critical thinking about the opportunities and limitations of the two fields, and how to overcome them by combining the two approaches for the investigation of brain systems and functions.

Grading:

S/US

Assigned Reading:

We will assign papers each week focused on the lecture topics. These will be added to this website once assigned.
